Wonderful find, amazing setting, very cultural and interesting to read and hear all about Rowena Cade who built the t Pendennis Castle. Ben on the gate is an asset to English heritage and was very informative and knew a lot about the castles history.
Porthminster Beach. Toilets just a stroll the other side of the putting green , the golf is also great fun for both children and adults. The Camel Trail. We hired 6 bikes plus a trailer for baby from Camel Trail Cycle Hire in Wadebridge, excellent service, great bikes Bude Sea Pool. Bodies of Water. The pool has a nice shallow area , plenty of space to get comfy. Padstow Harbour. Spent a day mainly to visit a Rick Stein restaurant but what a great place to spend a day in a fabulous harbour town Looe to Polperro walk.
Scenic Walking Areas. Fabulous Coastal path - suitable for fit people, some rocky bits but worth the effort to see the rugged coastline.
Nectan's Glen. A magical place of waterfalls, streams and woodland sensitively cared for by warm and friendly staff. Tintagel Castle. The new bridge connecting it to the mainland makes the journey even easier and with Land Rover rides to and from the Truro Cathedral.
A beautiful building to visit, and if you're lucky, you will hear someone playing the 'Father Willis' Organ. Lanhydrock House and Garden. One of my favourite National Trust properties, the house is wonderfully preserved and set out the gardens are stunnin Cornwall Football Golf. Sports Complexes. Gwithian Beach. Clean, soft sand, rock pools to explore, cliffs and little coves to sit and enjoy the goings on or join in if that's Harlyn Bay.
Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm. We went for the full guided tour, including a full tour with a great tour guide, lots of free samples, a tractor ride Kidz R Us. Padstow-Rock ferry. Fairly expensive for such a short crossing, but thoroughly enjoyable nevertheless!! A good regular service with poli Glendurgan Garden. What a treat to come here with fellow National Trust members, a lovely and discrete gardening mini paradise with some Summerleaze Beach.
One of the most charming beaches in UK! Sandy shores, dramatic rocks, a lovely sea pool for the swimmers and wild wav St Austell Brewery. The welcome was brilliantly friendly from all the people that we encountered in Hicks bar and the shop. Porthmeor Beach. Great for a walk it skirts the South West Coast Path , picnic by the sea, beach games etc.
Has it's own surf school Lappa Valley. Scenic Railroads. Spent the day with the family at lappa valley, the train ride was lovely and the grandchildren loved it the cafe serv Golitha Falls. This is a real gem of a place, the walk along the river was wonderful, the scenery is stunning and with the right wea Helston Railway.
My wife and i walked down the platform to watch the steam engine arrive and chatted to the crew who were so friendly. Eden Project. The Mediterranean biome is a lovely walk to see lots of varieties of plants and flowers also lots of types of chillie Ways to tour Cornwall.
